Le Petit Prince, Armadale

Le Petit Prince is a very popular brunch spot in Armadale and their matcha French Toast is Insta-famous and I had been looking forward to a visit for ages. I was part of a reserved table for breakfast on a Sunday morning, but when we got there, the table was not ready and continued to stay occupied for our whole visit - our group was split into 2 tables - one outside and one inside. A bit disappointing.

Despite how often I'd seen their french toast dish online, I decided to try their Purple Porridge ($15) instead while my friend had the Mushrooms & Chorizo, sans mushrooms ($19.50).

I found the purple porridge to be a bit bland and it was more of a soft lilac than anything. The fresh fruit added nice flavours, but the porridge itself didn't hold its own.

The chorizo, avocado & feta toast looked sensational and was a perfect blend of flavours. Each topping was in abundance and the chorizo was crispy and not too greasy.

Le Petit Prince, while quite small, is a lovely venue that has a good amount of seating both indoors and outdoors. The meals are decently sized compared the pricing and the coffee is very nice (I had two). I will definitely be ordering the matcha French toast on my next visit.
