Street Talk Espresso, Armadale

@food.fiend.melbourne

Street Talk Espresso is, hands down, my favourite cafe in Melbourne. The service is spot on, the jams are always pumping, the artwork on the wall out the back is amazing & the food is on. point.

This was not my first visit to the small cafe in Armadale and it definitely won't be my last. We'd been raving about it to another couple that we hang out with, so we took them on a cute Saturday Brunch double-date... they just had to put up with me taking photos of everything before we started to eat.

We ordered the Boss of Challah French Toast ($18 - a must have), the Dr Martys Eggs Benny ($19?) , the Feelin' Fruity Granola ($16) & the Godfather of Eggs ($19).

Everything was delicious - especially the French Toast. Little cubes of joy, topped with seasonal fruit, Tim Tam bark, gold leaf, coffee caviar and mascapone cream.

The fruity granola isn't their best dish, but it's still nice. It was plated beautifully, but it was a bit fussy to eat if you wanted a bit of everything in each bite.

The Godfather of Eggs is chilli scrambled eggs on toast with 12hr braised lamb and a rocket salad - it's my partner's favourite and he orders it every. single. time. The Dr Marty's Eggs Benny looked sensational and the eggs bled gold, which is always awesome. The crumpets were toasted and the bacon was thick and crispy. Woohoo!

Make time to visit St Talk Espresso ASAP - I'll probably see you there! The food is ace, the staff are super friendly and if you go after peak, you sometimes have the whole back courtyard to yourself :)
