"Oh... it's a vegan cafe..." said my friend when I asked if he'd like to check out the, super popular, cafe/happiness initiative in Richmond - Serotonin Dealer. I told him that, even though he couldn't have bacon with his breakfast, it could still be nice! As long as there was coffee, we'd be fine.

We arrived at 12.30pm, peak lunch time, and were pleased to see that it was busy, but not chockas. We managed to snag 2 swing seats outside, which had blankets rolled up on them. I didn't think I'd like eating on a swing, but I loved it! Yay chair swings (currently looking into DIYing some for my house haha)

The menu was a bit confusing at first, but the staff were more than happy to explain things. I was intrigued by the "Happycino" and my friend ordered the peanut butter latte.

We then ordered food and two smoothies - so much liquid, but it sounded too good! We were keen to see what the "Nutrition Bomb" and "Galaxy Acai Bowl" looked and tasted like.
I had the Galaxy Acai Bowl ($17) and the Green Smoothie with banana, spinach & coconut. Both were delicious, but were both very similar consistencies, so I had a smoothie with a side of smoothie. The bowl was a very generous size, topped with muesli, berries and a homemade "magnum nice-cream". Great flavours! The smoothie tastes like ones I make at home and were very filling.

My friend has the "Nutrition Bomb" ($22) and a Peanut Butter Smoothie. He said both were very tasty (despite the lack of bacon haha), but his meal was very filling. He finished all of the chunky stuff (pumpkin, egg, broccoli, sweet potato) but did not finish the leafy greens. He forgot that he had also ordered the peanut butter latte, so he had a very nutty time with his drinks.

We stayed for about 2 hours because we were having such a wonderful time. Serotonin Dealer has such a friendly and positive atmosphere and the staff are super friendly. The food is delicious, with generous serving sizes & great drinks.
If I were to visit again, I'd like to try the pancakes or something else a bit warmer, but I highly recommend this eatery if you want a positive & happy experience :)
