White Mojo Plus+, Glen Waverley (VIP Night)

@food.fiend.melbourne

I was privileged to score an invite to the VIP launch of the new White Mojo Plus+ in Glen Waverley last week and had an absolute blast! The venue is stunning (in between Mocha Joe's and YOMG on Kingsway) and the spread was divine. There is an indoor area, with a glassed off storeroom, an enclosed outdoor area with a cool Lion water feature and a beautiful Alice-in-Wonderful style tea room with a garden ceiling and wonderfully decadent, high-backed chairs. So many beautifully curated spaces.

I thought it was going to be more of a traditional launch with tables and the opportunity to try some signature dishes, but this was so much better! The owners had gone to a tremendous amount of effort to put on a stunningly presented, creative and delicious spread of platters, deserts and some of their signature dishes.

There were a super diverse range of people there from radio hosts, celebrities, food bloggers, Insta-celebs and friends and family. The vibe was super positive and everyone was having a good time, aided by a live DJ, complimentary drinks and plenty of photo opportunities.

The cheese/meat/fruit/bread platter was absolutely beautiful. It spanned nearly the whole length of the venue and had something to please everyone. It was so huge that there were a lot of leftovers at the conclusion of the evening. They also had roaming waiters that were serving mini versions of some of their menu items - namely, their soft shell crab croissant.

The Bistro Morgan donut wall was also a highlight. There were about 50 donuts on the wall and then 2 massive piles underneath. I may, or may not, have had 2 and taken one home for my boyfriend haha. I love the donut wall fad - such a creative way to display such a tasty treat!

At the other end of the venue was the desert table that was literally a table covered in deserts - chocolate soil, mini meringues that looked like toadstools etc and halfway through the evening, they added in tiny deserts in shot glasses that looked outstanding. It was so beautiful and the reveal was made even more special with the addition of dry ice. Very clever :)

I had an absolutely wonderful time with my +1 and was well looked after in terms of food and drink. There were lots of opportunities to mingle and enjoy the space. Every person got to go home with a gift bag, which had a little brekky prepared - White Mojo coffee beans, Juice Bar juice, house made raspberry jam, mini croissant, pot of granola & a dessert ball. They really did think of everything :)

Thanks for a great night and congratulations to everyone involved.
