We visited Tamper Trap, in Brighton, for a late-brunch/lunch this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food was tasty, the venue not too crowded and the service was very friendly.
We ordered two coffees to start, which tasted excellent and only lasted a few minutes. We ordered two dishes and a smoothie to share.
My partner had the chilli scramble with chorizo and cherry tomatoes. He said that the flavours were excellent and the serving size was perfect. He was also very enamoured with how many menu items included chorizo.

I ordered the Okonomiyaki (Japanese Pancake) that came served with a side of naked slaw and ginger fried chicken. The Okonomiyaki itself came served as two in a stack, which was a lot to eat, but was delicious and came dressed with a generous serving of kewpie mayo and BBQ sauce. The fried chicken was a bit dry, but had a nice flavour - it just needed a condiment for dipping. The slaw seemed to be a bit of a plate filler and I didn’t see the need to eat any of it.

We had the “banging berry” smoothie, which was presented beautifully and had a lovely flavour. It complimented my meal perfectly as it was not too strong and was a welcome freshness after the heaviness of two sauces and fried chicken.

Tamper Trap is a beautiful venue with a diverse menu and great team of staff. The surrounding parking is mostly 2hr street parking, but was very readily available on a Sunday afternoon.
Thanks for having us, team :)
